Aleali May for Maharishi Fall 2017

Founded in 1994 by Hardy Blechman, Maharishi is known for its utilitarian and military inspired clothing. While the company may be inspired by the military and the limitless possibilities of "DPM" (Disruptive Pattern Material), also known as camouflage, Hardy promotes peace and is against violence. The company's web shop features toy soldiers practicing yoga as a sign of peace. Camouflage plays such a large part within Maharishi that Hardy wrote a book about its various types in 2004 and he was also named Streetwear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2000. The brand has been experimenting with technical designs and new DPM patterns each season and never fails to deliver some of the most unique garments on the market.

Showcasing Maharishi in our latest editorial is Aleali May, who is known for her expertise in styling, modeling and image consulting. Aleali launched her career in Chicago working with Louis Vuitton and RSVP Gallery and most recently debuted her collaborative project with Jordan Brand featuring the iconic Air Jordan 1 silhouette. Her list of clients ranges from Audi to Kendrick Lamar and continues to rapidly expand.

Featured in the latest Fall 2017 collection from Maharishi is the standout MA65 Fishtail Parka. 3M accents grace the collar and side pockets and the jacket is lined with the latest Maha heat tech. Each look has been paired with the brands track pants that feature their signature pocket ties. Tees, bombers and coaches jackets are also featured in the latest from Maharishi and can be purchased online and in-store at REIGN New York.
